Thanks Mex. I just emailed the shop. I would love to pull the trigger on a battery within a week - it depends somewhat on finances (DMV and smog both took a big chunk of change).
The alternator will be next on my purchase list, probably after the panel.

If you are in the LA area. Give Tom a call at Trans-Specialist.net, and see what price he can get you on the Lifeline. You can then pick it up at the factory warehouse in San Dimas. No core charge, and hard to get a 'fresher' battery:)! I drove up two weeks ago and picked up a GPL-8DA for chassis duty in our DP.
