Solar math is fun!
12V panels are 36 cells and cost $1/Watt. Two in series can charge a 24V bank, making them more marketable.
Those 24V panels are incredibly priced close to 50cents/Watt. One reason is they are 60 cell panels. 60 cell panels are next to useless to charge a 24V battery. You would need two in series for that. This limits their market demand.
You could use three 100W 12V panels in parallel for 300Watts and the Grape Solar PWM controller for(300 + 55 = $355) + hardware and get 3 x 5.75 = 17.25 ISC. Parallel may be some extra wiring cost. That may be a better choice.
