The top gray wire goes back to the POS post of the inverter/charger and the lower gray wire picks up the battery/alternator feed through a 175A factory fuse. Whenever there is solar or alternator charging input the solenoid closes the breaker and both batteries charge. Charging goes both ways. If there are no charging Volts, the batteries are separated.
The black wires on the lower post feed the gold posts of the two auto reset breakers which are for the trailer's brake controller and charge line.

OK - I think I have this straight - just confirming that the 2 black wires in your (John's) picture do not apply to my setup?
IE I only need the 2 gray and the ground?
