1. If 13-lbs of battery is only going to yield me 7ah, then I'm back to square one--I MUST replenish the battery in camp. Is AGM "more" sensitive to deep cycle than standard flooded?
2. The 68-watt Unisolars I found at that price were all 24v. But there are some at the $200 range. True, that's still not half of $700, but they are heavier and more difficult to pack.
3. The problem with 24v is that I can NEVER hook gadgets directly to the panel leads, I must always have a converter--more money.
4. Might as well mention it: Early on I considered buying a 450-w Powerhouse gennie. 22 lbs, 300 bucks and I'm done.
