OK. At 100% discharge you have 200-250 cycles before the capacity drops to somewhere between 50% and 90% of the initial.
I would consider lithium. Twice lighter, and life cycle at 100% discharge is longer. Expensive, yes.
From what I'm understanding is that this system is for pack-in skiing adventures and is basically an experiment for having power at camp. I would start with a relatively inexpensive battery, a sealed lead acid type and probably bigger than 18 AH or at least two of them to make storage less of an issue. I could see them being charged during the day and one reserved for nighttime use to power lights or extension of charging electronic devices. I'm sure the OP can work out the fine details.
Spending significant money for lithium batteries and a charger just doesn't seem to make practical sense when the 18AH sealed batteries can be had for $35. If one of these type lasts 200 cycles, there should be a lot of use in Ski-days before replacement.
