Hi,
I am going to have to replace my single 12v Battery soon, for our TT (it is leaking from the top).
Doing some research, I have found a lot of good information on AGM type batteries. I see a lot of good things being said, and very little negatives. About the only negative I can find, is they cost more. However, if they are going to last longer, be more reliable, and have less issues, it seems worth it.
So, I wanted to ask the forum, if anyone has any negatives about the AGM type batteries, versus the flooded type ?
Thanks
Joe
The most common negative point presented is that AGMs cost more to buy.
While that is true, I have asked repeatedly, over more than a years time, for any posters to engage in a total cost of ownership discussion/study. No one has accepted the request. That should tell you something.
I suspect there is no real long term advantage to the lower purchase price of wets. I don't feel I need to prove that AGMs are cheaper.
