Won't one be accepting more of the 20A than the other? say 19A compared to 17 for ~1.5 hr? The AGM continuing to get 19A for a while longer?
I didn't allow for any heat loss difference between the two types of battery. The Trimetric manual says they tested some Wets in the mid-SOC range and they had hardly any heat loss. That changed big time when above 80% SOC.
So it might be that heat loss would not be a factor for the shorter time (I assume) the Wet stays in bulk from 50% to X %.
