No. There is no evidence that shallow cycle, i.e. when battery remains more than 50% full at its lowest, would negatively affects its life.
I would not rely blindly on that "AGM" setting on converter. Batteries are not all created equal, and you need bulk charging voltage and float voltage matching YOUR particular battery specs. Some AGM are not recommended to charge at currents higher than 0.3C, ex. 30A per 100AH battery. Some other, to the contrary, require very high charging currents.
Solar controllers - at least good ones - have adjustable charging voltages, but manufacturers of RV converters are lagging behind. So you might have to buy a proper 3-stage 110V battery charger-maintainer with adjustable setpoints. At least, for when it's parked in your driveway.
