Air bags for 2003 Discovery 39s

Has anyone changed their airbags? If so what was the cost and what are the part numbers for the air bags?
Thanks in advance for any info.

  • there should be a part # on the bags them selves, had to replace one at the shop on Friday, had a new one in less than an hour. funny thing was it was only in the shop to have a taillight replaced when the rear bag exploded on our heavy tow truck..
  • We are going to assume you checked all the air lines and schrader valves for leaks?

When I pulled my old bags they were marked with manufacturer and part #. Different RV so does you no good.

I had my RV layed up for a bit so sorted through the net and bought off brand bags off Ebay or Amazon?, a bit of a pain but can be done.

Here is a sight that might help https://www.stengelbros.net/Air-Springs--Hendrickson_c_287.html
  • How many miles?

Call Freightliner with your chassis number. My exhaust tip rusted out and Fleetwood sourced it but their markup is treacherous.
  • A leak in the front left bag. All others look as bad or worse but not leaking yet. Firestone says replace after 10 years these are 16 years. It is time!!
Finding the part numbers on line is confusing because it is a motorhome not a straight truck.
  • Curious as I have an 05 on the same chassis; did you have a problem or preventative maintenance?
