Yes, I realize that this is a public forum. However, I still feel that your initial statement was out of line. Anyway, yes, I've used Febreeze, but I've been using that night time kind and I don't think it's really strong. I'm going to go pick up some of that kind that says it blocks odors with no scent in it and see if that works. Of course, most commercials are bs, so we'll see lol.

You definitely make a good point. However, after January, we're headed to Iowa. My boyfriend works pipelines and he's outside all day as is. He hates cold weather, so needless to say, no way in hell am I going to get him to smoke outside lol. I plan on quitting after the new year. I quit for 10 years, then quit for 3 months back in August...stupidly started back. It's not hard to quit, just have to want it bad enough. Anyway, yeah no way will I get him to quit or go outside lol. The link that you posted is the same exact one that I posted, except from Lowes. I just was super curious to know how well they worked for cigarette smoke before I became fully vested in the idea.

The best approach would be to smoke outside. My wife and I both smoked, and due to the damage it causes inside we always smoked outside. We have had more than our fair share of trying to clean the smoke buildup on things over the years. We don't smoke anymore, and we don't let anyone else smoke inside either.

by the way, we just ordered 2 of these for the sticks and bricks...

Do you think there could be a combination of things I could try, any products that you are aware of that would work? I realize this furniture is porous, but surely there's something on the market that could remedy this; at least somewhat.

I've not read anything about the electrostatic filters. If I did get a purifier it would definitely be in the living room, we don't smoke in any other area of the camper. So, it would be really close by. I suppose it's worth a shot. I just see other models that are $300+ that I thought may work, but I don't want to just throw money away. I mean, the ones that I have looked at I've made sure that they've all mentioned tobacco smoke smell removal. I see a lot of high marks for the models, however most of them aren't mentioning anything pertaining to cigarette smoke.

Smoke outside or don't smoke. The residual smoke inside the RV will coat every exposed surface with tar, nicotine, and other byproducts. An air purifier won't change that.

We use a HEPA air filter system because my wife has COPD and needs a clean sleeping environment.

I smoke--that's my business not yours. Obviously you're either a retired smoker or your wife was and that's why you're giving me the ole non-smoker song and dance. I'd appreciate you just keeping silly comments like that to yourself and not be so condescending to me. I asked this question because I'd seen others on other boards mention that they used purifiers to get rid some of the smoke smell in their rv's. I was looking for other opinions. While I appreciate you saying that the purifier probably wouldn't help, I think your first statement was without warrant. Just because this is the internet and your mostly anonymous doesn't mean you get to be rude to people you don't know.

That filter will remove a lot of stuff out of the air in whatever end of the trailer it's in. You can prove this by passing gas in one end and running to the other.
