Air purifier question

I want to get an air purifier, because my bf and I both smoke. And I'm even starting to smell that stale smoke smell. I realize that it will never be completely gone, but I figured it'd help to get one.

I don't exactly know which one to get though because I don't know how many square feet this rv is. It's a 2008 Forest River Sandpiper 345RET. I think it's 38 ft, I have no clue what that means in sq. ft.

Also, do you think getting an air purifier is a waste of time and money?

I feel you are wasting your money. My wife smoked and with all of the fabic type material around the smoke will kling to it as you know. The unit you will be getting does it have a carpet ceiling, if so you might as well forget ever getting the smell out. The way the ac is set up and the close type of unit the ac filter will be your best first defense. good luck

We have had the camper about 2 months, it doesnt have a carpet ceiling. Well, if those air purifiers wont do any good, i guess we are just out of luck. I always try to keep windows open when i smoke, but it doesn't do much good. Theres got to be something i can do to keep it down.

  • There are various "grades" of filters. A true HEPA filter will filter out smoke. One cannot do the entire unit unless it is tied into the main heater fan. You will need a filter unit at both ends of your rig.
  • Multiply the length by the width and that answer is the number of square feet. Measure both dimensions if you need to. For example if the RV is 28 feet long and 8 feet wide the number of square feet (st) is 224 st.
