- Bill001ExplorerThanks All,
That's exactly the info I was looking for
Bill - Mach 8 13.5
hi fan 1.3 amps 156 watts
lo fan .7 amps----84 watts
compressor at 95 degrees 12.5 amps---- 1500 watts
FAN watts/amps do not change with outside temp
COMPRESSOR Amps/Watts will change with outside ambient temp. Doug - BarneySExplorer IIIMoved to Tech Issues forum from DIY.
- pianotunaNomad IIIAh,
I did not understand the question. Mine draws about 50 watts less on low. Measured with a Kill-a-Watt meter. - ScottGNomadOK, just went out and measured my front AC, a 13.5 btu Mach.
Difference between low and high speed (according to my EMS) is less than 1/2A. - pianotunaNomad IIIMy Dometic 13500 starts out at as low as 1100 watts and maxes out at about 1900 watts. Ambient temperature and run time both affect the demand.
Low voltage may cause permanent damage to the AC unit. That is one reason I use an autoformer. - SoundGuyExplorer

I found the specs for Running Wattage on this unit, but I have not found a power consumption value when the unit is on low.
Does anyone know that, or measured it?
You'd have to be more specific about your particular model as there are several versions of Coleman Mach 8 A/Cs. Also, RLA - Rated Load Amps varies depending on ambient temperature. If total draw is a concern you'd be far better off with a Coleman Mach 3 P.S. A/C. - ScottGNomadI measured my Mach 15 last summer and the difference is pretty much inconsequential it's so small.
