As a point of reference, my 2006 D/A and my current 2013 both use Dexron VI. Check your owners manual but I believe your 2007 would also use it. Your 2007 falls with the years of the leaking transmission lines. As another poster stated, the leak would eventually build up on the skid plate and then drip. Really a nuisance since the transmission lines seemed only to "sweat" than leak.
Yes, Dexron VI is the fluid. I made sure I confirmed that with the dealer.
The cooling lines have been seeping for several years. It never lost a bunch of fluid, but rather just had the film all over the area with the dirt stuck to it. So I didn't concern myself with the expense of changing them.
But if I have to pull the tranny, I may as well bite it and get the lines done at the same time.
I am keeping a close eye on it and also carrying a spare jug of fluid with me.
Hooking the TT and heading over the Rockies to Alberta at the end of next week. Should be T-shirt weather by then!:W
