Alternate Brand Of Hotel Water Pump

A 65' Swan sloop is a million dollar vessel. The Finnish builders are masters at understanding ramifications of failure at sea. Most vessels of this ilk have twin desalination plants, plus an emergency backup. One R/O plant may be direct driven off one generator - 30 gallons per hour output. Seawater to 10 ppm almost distilled water.

Because of noise and reliability issues I have never seen a Shur Flo pump aboard a premium yacht. There's nothing wrong with a Shur Flo but there are better pumps and the limited time offer on the OP made it a real bargain.

At sea..Fresh water is a life giving necessity
Multiple small pumps provide backup
Unlikely they would all fail at the same time
Failure of one larger pump would be a major nuisance at best
Life and death at the worst
