Disconnect the PLIS or PLFS regulator connector at the alternator. Engine off key off.
Start voltage probing to ground with a DMM
P Dead
L Dead
I Dead
S must read battery voltage
Did the annoying dash light go out with the plug disconnected? If yes there is a fault in the integral voltage regulator.
With the CS series of voltage regulator there is no halfway's. The unit works 100% or it doesn't work at all. The 1116411 - 437 series of voltage regulator demands an even AC signal from the stator or it will not work at all. Zip.
Insert a test lamp probe tip into the disconnected regulator plug. Key on. Does the lamp light up when connected to L? How about to I/F ?
Check you problematic dash lamp. When testing the plug sockets does the lamp get brighter or go out?
