Alternator: How many batteries can it take?
I have a diesel, so two batteries for truck, there are two 6-volt for the Truck Camper, and I want to put a deep cycle battery in the cargo trailer. The Camper does have 200 watt solar to charge it...

Those are Progressive Dynamics numbers not mine... I have started doing this in 2009 and my three Interstate batteries lasted up to around 2015... MY setup has been sitting at my house since... I am hoping to get back into camping off grid soon and just recently purchased two groups of 6V golf cart batterie in series. Hopefully roughly the same sequences will work again for me for several more years of camping off grid... I followed the DC Current levels to tell me approximately what % of charge I was in... When it drops to 13.2VDC and all three of the 85AH batteries was allowing only 1Amp or so of charge then I would assume this was the 90% charge state.
