Altitude adjustment on Onan 5500 generator - question

The altitude adjustment on my Onan 4kw generator on my previous class C allowed for a setting up to 10,000 feet. The Onan 5500 on my new class A only allows adjustment to 5,000 feet. Is this normal or...

Just replaced the carb on mine. Old one was 10,000' the new carb is 6,500'.

Who knows what they are doing. I never noticed the diff till I got to camp & went to adjust it. WTH? I did notice the last time out @ 7,400' it was running a little fat (rich)
