I agree, there are some AGM folks who make preposterous statements about no maintenance. I believe they are figuratively expressing their joy over their new bank. Human nature?
However, there is a distinction between AGMers mis/dis-information about AGMs and NON-AGMers crossing over to make provocative statements re AGMs. I take great exception in that case. I could better empathize your discomfort if AGMers were crossing over with the same re wets. In any case, the community loses when untruthful statements go unchallenged.
Note: You AGMers need to stop saying no maintenance as it is just plain wrong! Also, AGMs are not a silver bullet against knowing good charging practices. If you don't have any instructions, you would do well to read Deka's. In fact, the more you know about charging wets, the more informed you will be in keeping your AGMs healthy. Both are LA batteries at the core. Without SG info, you really need to know how to work around that with other measurements.

We all win when untruthful statements are challenged and not allowed to stand.
