My only disagreement with your reply is that the NEC is not a set of rules. They are standards, minimum standards. I think you missed my point on that but that's okay, we really agree on the need and the NEC is a great set of standards.

Oh yeah! I've worked in the field from 1954 to 1995 when I retired. While the greater part of my experience is in traffic signals, I was a licensed journeyman in the State of Oregon.

We have more in common. I was a traffic signal installer and certified inspector in Florida for 4 years.

That is what I have read. Going to be a custom RV or park model site that has that much power.

There is no 100 amp hook up. Forget you ever heard it. That comes from newbies and DIY's. 50 amps pedestal outlet is 50 amp @ 240 volts. That's what you need to remember.It goes to your RV and stops at the main breaker. 240 is not accessible there but 50 amps at 120 volts is.

I just talked to the guy at the CG shown above that claims 100a service.

He said some sites have 2 50a sockets for those who need more power. He said they were two dedicated 50a circuits, but they were put in long before he got there. He said he's never had anyone use one, but says bigger buses can. He thought some rigs used a Y connector to join those 2 50a services together.

I told him I and nobody else here knows what a 100a plug looks like. He doesn't either.

So this is weird.

An RV that needs 100a will have 2x 50 amp plugs and 2x 50 amp distribution panels.
Parallel connection is bad juju.

It's not weird. It's usually use in a park with one pedestal for two 50 amp RV sites. There is no RV with two 50 amp shore power cords. At least not that I have herd of on the 4 RV websites I hang out on. You can not use a dog bone to combine 2 50 amp 240 services into one. I ain't gonna happen.
