Found some markings on the undersides--used a little mirror and a pen light.
The solenoid has no brand but says 187-12v and 2-0 on it. Google no help on a quick look.
The solenoid CB has no markings I can find but the one by the house batts end of the wire is a Pollak 40A.
The wire is skinnier than I first thought, but can't read the tiny writing even with a magnifying glass. It might say AWM instead of AWG too. Anyway, it might not even be #10.
So there is room for improvement in that "alternator charging" aspect for sure.
