Anode Rod Wear
What would cause severe wear to the rod at the connection end? Almost no wear on the rest of the rod. I use teflon tape on the threads. Two brand new rods, two years in a row.

To redirect back to the original question. what about if a new rod is not decaying like it should? They always decayed like they should and then all of a sudden the new rod wasn't, I'm not sure if it was magnesium or aluminum composition, I didn't know that there were two types available.
