A couple weeks to run them down just idling the trailer seems fairly normal.
What may help more than anything is to post what converter you have and please let us know if you have seen any charging voltage at 14.2+ volts. Since you are frequently charging on generator you really need a three stage converter that actually works. Very common WFCO converter says three stage but is notorious for just trickle charging at about 13.6 volts.
