I desperately need to equalise my house batteries. It would be simplist to start with the batteries in their tray and everything connected. Will leaving the fridge OFF be enough or will the 16V DC ...

Turning it OFF would leave controls 'live'
I would pull/disconnect DC CB for fridge before equalizing batteries.
Cheaper/easier than new control board/panels for fridge
