I ditto the conclusion that it is not GPS fault, but lack of road maintenance and updating the maps (read government people).
I still think campground owners could put their own sign there since that used to be their road?
I had GPS in Wyoming showing me 50 miles shortcut on 250 miles route when I drove my flatbed alone.
I turn into the road and it is nice.
Drove 12 miles and asphalt turned into gravel. That's OK, I can drive flatbed on gravel.
10 more miles and gravel ended, turning into sand. I can still do it, but couple of miles sand vanishes under the grass.
So about 20 miles into the shortcut, I had to turn around.
