I can handle the "map information was wrong". My main issue is that my gps took me on a route that included "going off road" and I had no way of knowing that until I had driven over 45 miles. It knew I needed to go off road, because it told me to do so. It wasn't a map mistake - it's a device malfunction. Why would it choose a route that includes "go off road" when there were at least two routes that stayed on the road throughout. Why did it not give me those routes as options? Why did it not identify at the start that this route includes a section off road?
It had no problem with routing me along hwy49, so it wasn't that it was avoiding highways. It just refused to see any route except one that included off road. And I always check the available routes first - I never just click "go" and let the gps arbitrarily pick a route. In my case, the gps never found an alternate route - even though they were the standard route.
