- EsoxLuciusExplorerShipping is going to significantly increase the cost of AGM batteries. However, I see Amazon offers free shipping with the VMax batteries. If one was going to get 12-volt Group 31 VMax batteries the 125 AH VMAXSLR125 would be the one to get. The Vmax AGM batteries only have a 12 month replacement warranty. Compare that to a 2 year replacement, followed by a 3 year prorated, warranty for the Fullrivers. Fullrivers have a North American wide distribution network, so you should be able to pick them up within a reasonable distance from most locations. Have you considered changing to 6-volt batteries in series/parallel? Eight Fullriver DC220-6 batteries would give you 880 AH. Oh, I just reread your first post stating you are replacing four batteries. I'd call Magnacharge Battery.
- pianotunaNomad IIIHi Roy,
Yes, agm batteries can be shipped as they are sealed. - RoyBExplorer IIHow does the shipping work for AGM batteries. The couple of places I checked for Trojan T1275s I was looking at wanted me to provide a dealer type address and then go pick them up when they arrived??? Would not direct ship to my address
Maybe AGMs can go regular shipping???

Hi,
It's time for me to consider replacing four of my batteries that are now 8 years old.
I came across this on Amazon. Any one have an opinion on this company?

Spacs are similar to an Odyssy battery or vice versa which are very good batteries. - MEXICOWANDERERExplorerPianotuna, you might want to prod the manufacturer and ask them bluntly: "You claim a cycle life based on depth of discharge. ASSUMING THE BATTERY HAS BEEN IDEALLY MAINTAINED AND CARED FOR What I am interested in knowing is the Usable Ampere Hour Capacity at end of cycle life. What are you basing your target on? Are you claiming 60% of ampere hour capacity remains? 50%? Less?"
This succinct question acts to yank a battery manufacturer's shorts down around their ankles for all to see. The capitalized part above pretty much negates any validity of a generalized statement "IT DEPENDS"
If you get a "It Depends" answer with no value hints, then I would be skeptical about many of the claims. I like the weight of this battery. Reviewers however have not afforded clear thoughts never mind evidence of superior performance or lifespan. The battery is too recent. And lastly, what really raised the hair up on the back of my neck is the fact the manufacturer if this is actually a manufacturer does not state WHERE this battery is being made. Where is the address? Corporate headquarters? This is most curious...
TO WIT----verbatim
Life of Batteries in use is measured by "Number of Cycles" rather than time. VMAX is known to deliver one of the highest numbers of discharge / recharge cycles. Depending on the use and average depth of discharge it can offer an average of:
Depth of Discharge Number Of Cycles
10% 3500+
25% 1500
50% 900
75% 600
100% 300 - What do they mean by float service application? Is that just standby service?
What about when cycled 50% or more. - mena661ExplorerI'd spend a little more and get Fullriver's 115Ah grp 31 AGMs instead.

Or these 105Ah grp 27 Fullriver AGMs if the above one's are too much.
