Not knowing your situation like it you're on the road full time or only part time and living in Suburbia. But If it was me I would drive around the neighborhood and pick up a free giveaway bbq. Then just cut the regulator off and splice an extension hose to move the bbq away from the RV. Light it up and let it burn. Discard the old BBQ when done.
Thinking further I would probably use my existing bbq and an extension hose with no regulator. You're talking low pressure so a standard hose clamp would be more than adequate for the connections. Something maybe like this.
You might also call a propane place and ask what they would do. I wonder if they would just vent the propane to the atmosphere and move on.
