Anyone Tried Norcold Door Hinge Reinforcement Kit?

We had the bottom hinge fail before the Hinge Reinforcement Kit became available. I took a piece of 1/8' x 1 1/2" angle iron from Home Depot and attached it to the bottom of the door with strong adhesive and screws, angled it out at the hinge end, precisely drilled a hole for the hinge pin, used a teflon washer for a bushing and never looked back. Our door fell off within months of warranty expiration but has been trouble free now for at least six or seven years.
