Anyone Tried Norcold Door Hinge Reinforcement Kit?

I had the hinge actually break off. I used a piece of metal and bent it to the shape of the hinge and epoxied the piece on and epoxied the metal on the outside of it to support the hinge. I painted it black to match. This was done 4 years ago and is still holding thank goodness. That kit looks like it would work a lot easier.
