My rig is in a covered shed (sunshine and excess heat all day everyday is a bad thing - see too many rigs left out in the direct sun) during the spring summer and fall when not being used making the on board solar system pretty much useless. The shed has 300 watts of PV array and can be connected to the rig if needed to top off the batteries. I watch the battery SOC when it drops 15 to 20% I recharge from the shed's system. As others stated everyday with the batteries subjected to 14.6V plus for hours at a time you might want to consider a differnt charge configuration for storage as compared to camping. If you plan on leaving it out in the sunshine. Should be no more than 5 minutes of download before you head out for a camping trip.
