The easiest on a battery maintenance system to achieve maximum battery life is a CONSTANT VOLTAGE temperature corrected float charge.

Top charge three times a year to achieve 10 minutes of bubbling to mix electrolyte (also known as "de-stratification").

The above two protocols applied to a a flooded lead acid battery is hard to beat to achieve absolute maximum battery life.
