One of the things I had to stamp out quickly and often were young engineer's propensity to create something unique. Engineering is a DISCIPLINE and if a person wishes to leave "Their Mark" on an exercise, they had damned well better be prepared to "prove" their assertion. Beyond a shadow of a doubt. I have a horrible stubborn streak. Good primarily for engineering and fishing.
Yeah I use sarcasm as humor. Remember "The Glass ain't half full or half empty - it's twice as big as it needs to be".
These days my short fuse is not good for my heart. So when I read or hear something absurd I tend to use humor to tide me over. The claim of "Shallow Discharges Are Not Good For A Battery" can indeed be applied to some very* few cases of battery management. But to paint this assertion onto a billboard with a road broom is ridiculous. I used the automobile starting battery theory in only very limited jest.
