Yes, they had a valid point to make. But what they proposed bore little reality to their claims.
Battery MAINTENANCE is a discipline as well. IMHO it's OK to learn by your mistakes. It is not OK to tell others your mistakes are gospel.
I've tried my best to simplify as best I can the complex nature, the crankiness and unpredictability of flooded lead acid batteries. It's a challenge. Try stuffing too much data down a person's throat and they're going to reach for a cyber knife.
Like anything complex there are a few professionals that try and take advantage of impressionable novices. Not by stealing, by impressing their ego on statements and claims that are taken as gospel. When true engineers are shoved into the background and the paisley suits and magenta tie boys take over the front office then things go the way of Alice In Wonderland.
BTW, BFW take a draw, say 10cc each cell and set in a glass jar. See if your "cloudiness" manages to coalesce and settle to the bottom. If it "dissipates" it's what you think it is.
