Well aware of what a logarithmic plot is. If you plot it linearly it is a well-behaved curve. Mine's a bit lumpy due to guessing values from the original graph. Still, nothing obvious happens at 50%. 50% is just an economic maximum between the cost of a larger bank to minimize DOD and the cost of shorter life of a smaller bank due to greater DOD.
