So I guess you blindly blast away for some arbitrary length of time at some arbitrary time interval and then assume the batteries are full? I believe in the tools I have available. SG lag is actually greatest during bulk charging and catches up before float. It would also show a lower SOC than actual during recharge.

I agree, batteries are always in a slow state of decline. I hope mine decline for 8 to 10 years.
