I think I said that solar can do it but you still need to get to 100% every month or get sulfated. Then it is a matter of how to get to 100% while still camping (using the batts) I don't know any other way than the split bank trick so you can take the now not being used batts to full. But you are still on solar.
What may be disputed is whether you are really getting to full every day on regular solar even when it seems like you are. I say no based on my own experience as measured for real (as described in other posts)
YMMV, but in that case it would be helpful to show how you measured that and the results for the dreaded "peer review"
