ARP Technical Presentation in Quartzsite

In talking to Paul Umack from ARP the other day, he mentioned that they are going to be in Quartzsite this year and will likely do at least one technical presentation/ lecture on the ARP device, what it does, what it can't do, and what happens to a fridge when it overheats (as opposed to catching fire, this is also a safety shutdown for that). This will be with one of the iRV2 groups and I'll post time and place here when it's all nailed down. Should be interesting.

    I agree 100%- I believe Norcold tried to do an end run around Paul's patent. Why they would not simply license the technology is beyond me, particularly given the money they are spending dealing with catastrophic failures.

    I really would encourage anyone close by to watch the demos.

    ARP is also the name of a supplier of high end engine fasteners (cylinder head studs, etc.).
    That's who I thought the OP was originally referring to, which frankly didn't make a lot of sense!

    We had the ARP device added to ours this summer. We also have a modified cooling unit by National Refrigeration installed. Also have a fire extinguisher in the compartment. We do like our Norcold and don't wish to go residential.

    Never mind - I googled it... Absorption Refrigeration Protection (ARP) device ...


    It is also an Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) is a telecommunication protocol used for resolution of Internet layer addresses... haha...
