That is the reason why we bought them originally. The are not as cold as my coleman, but they move twice the volume of air. I have 2 identical motorhomes, one with 2 coleman 13.5K, the other with 2 Atwood 13.5K.
The first coach can sometimes run both Coleman with the generator, but after a while it pops the breaker.
The second can run all day long with both Atwoods on, no problem.
I have even tested both units on shore power, the one with the atwoods coaled faster and colder.
I have only had them for 1.5 years (the oldest one) so I can't comment on longevity, but so far they work great.
