Atwood range (Thermostat)

Hi, I would like to know if a test can be done to verify the oven thermostat because the pilot will not light. Any info would be very much appreciated.

This thermostat make's the gas control to open and have a flame on the pilot to turn on the burner of the oven.

Thank-you,
  • I just went thru the same thing. If your range is the same as mine (a wedgewood) then good luck finding parts. I found the pilot light assembly and replaced that (not the thermocouple) and it did not solve the problem.

    Pilot light

Thermocouples are not to be found however. The range itself was fairly rusty but I would have cleaned it up and repainted if I could get it working.

I ordered this from Amazon(Johnson Surplus): link

However I see they just bumped the price up from $450 that I paid. The also contacted me and said that model was out of stock and offered a stainless steel version instead. It's been shipped but hasn't arrived yet. I have the new pilot assembly PM me if you want to try it.
  • With control valve pushed it, the pilot light has to come on regardless thermostat or thermocouple.
If you have nothing - the pipes/tubings are clog.
