I'm glad to hear the different LPG consumption between the two brands. I've found we can't use the (Suburban) water heater on electric along with our 15000 Coleman Mach A/C in hot weather, so I put the LPG on in the middle of dinner and the water's hot by dishwashing time.
The DSI feature is wonderful. Click it on "on demand" then back off and the LPG use is completely acceptable. I used to think DSI was a frill and standing pilot was plenty, but NO, DSI is the best.
