If it is plugged in and constantly processing power you will be OK. If you turned off the electricity, you need to secure it in a non damp area.

The unit is not that large.

I would remove it and store in a dry location and you would not have to worry about legs or moisture.

We don't know how the XFMR is coated and there are other components to consider as well like a circuit board, indicators, etc.

If it were running then I think it would be warm enough to stave off moisture. If not then I think corrosion will ensue.

Moisture is the enemy.

I've heard it said, God helps those who help themselves. Well I say, God help those who get caught helping themselves! ;)

Cold weather will not bother the Autoformer at all, Only thing that might bother it is legs.. The kind stuff grows when you are not looking. the kind that get draped in prison garb when they get caught.
