I have a A&E Weather pro on a 2005 Southwind. I removed the controller box because it was cr-- . Now I have no power to the main roller switch. There were three wires going from the box to the roller switch. My question is can I somehow rig jumpers from the pigtail that fed the controller to power the switch or do I have to rewire? Wiring diagram would be helpful if any electrical gurus can help.

Why not replace the control box? There are 2 wire harness's from the controller for the Main awning. The 3 wire goes to the switch and THAT switch feeds the control box to tell the control box to reverse the 2 motor wire polarity. The 2nd wire harness is the Black and Red 2 wire that goes to the awning motor. Doug

Doug, I don't want the cintrol box. Just want to be able to put the awning in and out. I think the power went to the box which fed the switch.. With the box unhooked there is no power to the switch.

That also defeats all the fail-safe devices, and that becomes a liability for a shop to work on it, bla-bla.. You could probably make it work with a DPDT ON (mom)-OFF-ON (mom) rocker if that's a quest.

Yes- the switch will not work without the box. The switch controls the box, the box controls the awning. You can rewire with a different switch, you can figure out a set of control relays, but you cannot directly control the awning with that switch without the box.
