- Seann12ExplorerI tried them the opposite way, same result.
- Darryl_RitaExplorerYou wound the springs backwards.
- Seann12ExplorerThe front spring/cap has the lock (back in it's original place), all marks made before removal are lined up. It's like we're pulling from the wrong side of the tube. It's a mystery.
- How old are the torsion springs? Is it possible you removed both Torsion and installed the front on the back and the back on the front? Doug
- Seann12ExplorerThe awning material is wound correctly...over the top of roller, the "backwards" is that the tension is reversed. You have to force the tube to roll up, and it is spring loaded while coming down, exactly opposite to what it should be. I have even tried tensioning the springs backwards, but it's the same result.
- Explain working Backwards. ALL RV awnings (even a more than 35 year old Faulkner) the Arms are wound by turning the arm or spring Counterclockwise on the RH. and CLOCKWISE on the Left hand. Does the awning roll up to store but fabric is backwards???? Doug
Look at this video. Granted it is an Electric awning but I want to know if you have the same problem with the fabric reversed or backwards.
