There are MANY reasons as to why tires blow out, more often it has to do with overloading and underinflation along with ROAD HAZARDS (I personally had a 10 ply LT truck tire blow out on my truck, the cause, a BOLT went through the tread).

Folks give it a rest, move on with life and get back to camping..

There ARE valid reasons as to why EVERY VEHICLE CARRIES a spare tire...

X2!!!! I'm STILL running ST tires on my horse trailer. My first set went 7 years and they were Chinese. My second set is 2 years old and also Chinese. I keep the tires uncovered, sitting on dirt too in hot desert sun. No issues. The only reason I would switch to LT tires would be to drive at higher than 65 mph while towing and since the trailer speed limit is 55 mph in CA, that's not going to happen anytime soon (I drive no more than 60 mph when towing).
