Not according to what our two resident engineer tire experts tells us.
The Maxxis ST 8008 is the heavier in weight than the other ST brands and seems to be the longer lasting of all the ST tire brands when we look at all the different trailering forums.
Having operated several trailers hauling materials and wheeled equipment for many years I found that heavier tires (up to a point) were well worth the extra investment.
