Still have the problem. I bought a replacement air admittance valve, marketed by Kohler and sold at Lowes but still get the smell. It is easy to isolate the source at the valve. Now wondering if the extreme heat wave may exaserbate the situation.
This is my fourth RV washing machine but the first situation where the same grey water tank is used for the kitchen, as well as the bath and washing machine. I know the primary source for smells is the kitchen but we are as careful as possible to keep food particles from getting down the drain. Being a used RV I can't say the same for former owners. Grey water deodorant, in massive amounts, don't seem to help much.
Does anyone have any suggestions for cleaning the tank walls without endangering the system? I am about to go buy a couple of gallons of white vinegar and some baking soda to try. Wondering about any other product that may change the tank environment. Feels like maybe I need to travel some distance with some cleaning solution in the tank and see if it helps.
