The charging would be terminated the instant the (un) monitored alpha battery would tell charging control it is fully charged.
Furthermore it is ignoring the fact that voltage drop will be higher at higher rates of charge
As the owner of 24, 2-volt cells I can tell you the "issue" is amplified at the ends of 12 cell strings.
Wiring diagrams are perhaps point five percent as important as
insuring cell-to-cell integrity is perfectly maintained. Shiny chrome looking polished lead posts, the same for terminals. I LEAD COATED my terminals to reduce interface excessive resistance.
Balance wire your bank but then go on to taking care of the other ninety nine percent of the objective.
