Battery Box planning wisdom needed (kinda long)

I got into a discussion recently that got me thinking about a few things and I want some group thoughts. In my TT (in sig below) I have a full pass-through compartment, then a compartment for 2 LP ...

I think if I would put my battery into any kind of a box inside my RV that I would be sure it is a box that is sealed shut when closed and glue the vent tube into it.
