I've read about the possibility of overcharging a battery. I occasionally connect my trailer to shore power for extended periods of time and am wondering if it's possible to over charge the battery.
A fixed voltage charger is fine in cold to mild summer temps, but in hot weather will over charge batteries. If you do much dry camping on a generator, you will want a 3 stage charger for faster, safer charging. And you can leave it plugged in all the time.
