Battery charging
I've read about the possibility of overcharging a battery. I occasionally connect my trailer to shore power for extended periods of time and am wondering if it's possible to over charge the battery.

Posting the make / model of your converter would help. If it's a WFCO or Progressive Dynamics it won't hurt the battery by keeping it plugged in.
